Screenwriting logline drivers#

It’s a work in progress, but this seems to sum it up better….Īfter a woman is savagely attacked by another ride-share driver, a sarcastic detective and a saucy reporters lives become entangled with her husband’s brutal acts of vengeance against the ride-share industry. Thank you Lily for pointing that out to me. We all have the drive to kill inside of us, it just needs the right push and throughout the screenplay that’s evident. Logline: After a high school debate student finds a world where classic poems come alive and begins touring through great verse, a literary personification of death falls in love with her and declares that she must beat him in a debate about the poetry. When you finish your script, it’s likely that elements of the screenplay have changed since you first wrote the initial logline before you started writing. Genres: Portal Fantasy, Drama, Live-Action Animation. The first 30 pages or so are exactly that, a culmination of events that pushed the addict in him over the edge. Not all loglines need to or can utilize this logline element, but if your story has them, so should your logline. That’s the catalyst that drives him over the edge, but it took a lot to get there.

In reality, it’s just like Lily said, a story that intertwines the lives of Joe Gallo and Detective Johnny Dangle and Reporter Jennifer Atwood’s lives after Joe’s wife is brutally attacked one night in a ride-share.

The feedback I received said it was one dimensional, so I expanded on what they said I should, which brings me to the current story. I was always going by what I originally worked out with another writer. The story itself has undergone changes over the past 8 months due to some purchased feedback from a professional, but the logline never got updated. Don’t even get me started on the weird shit that happens working overnight. I lived in that world for 4 long years, and I saw a lot. From the verbal and physical attacks that happen every day, to the almost barbaric way both are treated by the companies themselves.

When I first wrote the book The Drive To Kill, I saw it as a way to invite people into my reality of the ride-share industry and the trials and tribulations that both drivers and passengers face on a daily basis.
